Ce mardi 17 juin 2025, la Commission des Délégations de l’Assemblée nationale, en partenariat avec le Programme des Nations Unies pour le Développement (PNUD), a procédé à l’ouverture des Journées de réflexion sur la loi relative au plastique. Cette initiative s’inscrit dans le cadre du dialogue parlementaire sur l’évaluation de la loi n°2020-04 du 8 janvier 2020, portant sur la prévention et la réduction de l’impact des produits plastiques au Sénégal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
La cérémonie d’ouverture, présidée par le Vice-président de l’Assemblée nationale, Monsieur Samba Dang, au nom du Présudent de l'institution parlementaire, Monsieur El Malick Ndiaye, a rassemblé un large éventail d’acteurs : parlementaires, membres du gouvernement, Représentante Résidente Adjointe du PNUD, partenaires techniques et financiers, Son Excellence l’Ambassadeur du Canada au Sénégal, ainsi que des représentants des collectivités territoriales, du secteur privé, de la société civile et des médias.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Ces Journées de réflexion visent avant tout à dresser un état des lieux rigoureux de l'application de la loi anti-plastique, afin d’évaluer son impact réel depuis son adoption. Elles offrent également l’occasion d’identifier les principaux défis rencontrés, qu’ils soient d’ordre technique, réglementaire ou opérationnel, dans la mise en œuvre de cette législation. Enfin, ces journées ont pour ambition de formuler, de manière participative, des recommandations concrètes pour améliorer l’efficacité de la loi et encourager une gestion plus durable et inclusive des déchets plastiques au Sénégal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
À travers cette initiative, la Commission des Délégations réaffirme son engagement à exercer pleinement ses missions de contrôle, de suivi et d’évaluation des lois, conformément aux dispositions du Règlement intérieur de l’Assemblée nationale et de la Constitution.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the National Assembly delegations Commission, in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), opened the days of reflection on plastic law. This initiative is part of the parliamentary dialogue on the evaluation of law n ° 2020-04 of January 8, 2020, relating to the prevention and reduction of the impact of plastic products in Senegal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
The opening ceremony, chaired by the vice-president of the National Assembly, Mr. Samba Dang, on behalf of the meadows of the parliamentary institution, Mr. El Malick Ndiaye, brought together a wide range of actors: parliamentarians, members of the government, representative deputy resident of the UNDP, technical and financial partners, his excellence the ambassador of Canada, as well as representatives territorial, the private sector, civil society and the media.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
These days of reflection aim above all to draw up a rigorous inventory of the application of the anti-Plastic law, in order to assess its real impact since its adoption. They also offer the opportunity to identify the main challenges encountered, whether technical, regulatory or operational, in the implementation of this legislation. Finally, these days aims to formulate, in a participative manner, concrete recommendations to improve the efficiency of the law and encourage more sustainable and inclusive management of plastic waste in Senegal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Through this initiative, the delegations committee reaffirms its commitment to fully exercise its missions of control, monitoring and evaluation of laws, in accordance with the provisions of the internal regulations of the National Assembly and the Constitution.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
